Oops a little drippety-drop there from my dip pen and there is no way I'm going to redo the whole thing so there you go.
Monkey just seemed a little grouchy one morning. Brentford must have cued into it and his silly joke blew away a cloud that morning.
I just finished reading In The Woods by Tana French (Grabesgrün auf Deutsch). This is a suspense novel with an unreliable narrator (my favorite kind!) about a murder in a small town in Ireland. The detective on the case thinks there might be a connection to the murder of his two childhood friends, which he was the only witness to and has no memory of. And his best friend Cassie is his partner, but will he mess up their very deep and unusual friendship? It was an excellent slow burn sort of read. I savored all of it.
I'm now reading Caste by New York Times journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson. I'm really enjoying the fluid and exceptional writing. Racism in the U.S. is revealed as the caste system it really is. I highly recommend it.

Is this your first Tana French? I listened to all of her books (except the newest) when I was commuting from Oak Harbor to Marysville. I'm currently reading her latest. They're all so good!
